AMD is bundling free copies of Starfield with Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs

Earlier this month we learned that AMD was the ‘official PC partner' for Starfield. This means the game will support Radeon technologies like FSR and day-one optimisations for Radeon RX GPUs. Now, the next step in this partnership has been revealed, with AMD bundling free copies of Starfield with its CPUs and GPUs.

According to the information provided by AMD Taiwan (via Hardware & Co), the bundle campaign will begin on July 11th and run until September 30th. Gamers who get eligible AMD hardware will have the opportunity to claim their game codes until the end of October.

The AMD Starfield bundle includes not only AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs but also Radeon GPUs. It covers both the RDNA3 and RDNA2 families, starting with the Radeon RX 6600 series (excluding the 6500 and 6400 series). The bundle is divided into two tiers: the Premium Edition and the Standard Edition. The Premium Edition comes with all Ryzen 9 7000 CPUs, Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs, and Radeon RX 6700 GPUs and above. The Standard Edition is bundled with Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 7000 series processors, as well as Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs and Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards.

For those wondering what the difference is between the two editions, here's a rundown. The Premium Edition includes up to 5 days of early access, the Shattered Space story expansion (upon release), the Constellation skin pack (includes the Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet, and Boost pack), and access to the Starfield digital artbook and OST.

KitGuru says: If you're planning to get a Ryzen 7000 series CPU, a Radeon RX 6600+ GPU, or a Radeon RX 7000 GPU, it might be worth waiting for the Starfield bundle. Even if you don't want the game, you should be able to give it to a friend.
