Dell Streak drops to $399

Kitguru loves the Dell Streak smartphone. We have reviewed it twice with Android 1.6 and last week with Android 2.2 Froyo. It is one of the sexiest smart phones on the market with a massive 5 inch screen for all your media viewing.

Dell have announced that they are dropping the price in the USA to $399.99 and it is going to ship on the 10th January – this is the 16GB microSD version. The 32 GB version also gets a drop in price by $180 and is listed on the Dell site for $498.99.

KitGuru says: If you guys need a new phone, read this review and then head over to the Dell store and pick up a bargain.

  1. KitGurus should know that there is not such thing like “16GB model” Streak, or 32GB model. You can put SD card size you want up to 32 GB!
    Comeon Gurus!:)))

  2. There are stores selling them with 16GB and 32GB cards, and they are classed as ’16gb’ or ’32gb’ models. I think we know its removable microsd, as we have reviewed them several times. Not SD 🙂

  3. …Its

    Still Ugly
    Still got a stupid name
    Made by Dell
    Has Dell on it
Makes no attempt to push any aesthetics

The only thing thats changed is that it cost less, and i’d hardly call that an improvement.

  4. Not at all spoken like a bigot 😉 its a very nice smartphone. open your eyes.

  5. Hi Tech Head, its nice of you to point out the price drop, but the £323.00 (To Date: 24th Dec 2010) is excluding Vat @17.5% and delivery (Free). I am waiting for the price drop in UK so I can order mine. It is official on Best Buy’s (USA) website that the price has dropped by $180.00, where Dell has not done that on their UK website, which I hope happens very soon as I cannot wait any longer :-).

  6. there seems to have been some confusion here, the UK price has not dropped yet, so ive edited the new post. USA gets a nice deal right now.

  7. It’s an interesting proposition. I’d like to have a tablet, and I’d like to replace my crappy Windows Mobile 6.0 phone. This hybrid is interesting at this price, though it’s also a drawback, being big for a phone and lower res than I’d like for a tablet.
