Nintendo 3DS pictures hit the web

Pictures claiming to be the upcoming 3DS handheld console from Nintendo have been circulating on the internet today.

The images, which first appeared on a gaming forum, show the 3DS in a black shell. The latest images show the start, home and select buttons level with the plastic under the handhelds display.

Video game site 3DS Buzz was the first to report on the leak which was apparently sourced from a worker in the factory. A video was also posted on Youtube, but has since been removed. Other videos have appeared though.

The 3DS is due to go on sale in Japan on February 26th and won't require 3D glasses to get a 3D image effect. The price is said to be around $300 in Japan. It should be available in Europe and the US a month later, but pricing and dates are not yet confirmed.

  1. Id love to see this working, the fact it doesnt need glasses is a huge selling point. bit concerned over nintendos claims its not suitable for very young kids in full 3d mode however.
