Acer T231H LCD Monitor – touch and sniff

When Windows 7 was first announced many thought the touchscreen support might create a viable alternative to the trusty mouse and keyboard.

Acer are releasing a new LCD monitor, called the T231H which replaces the T230H. It features an advanced ergonomic design that Acer are promoting to offer ‘maximum comfort even during sustained use'.

The screen can be rotated and tilted from 5 inches to 60 inches using one hand which will certainly cover all the bases for positioning and locations.

Technically, the screen offers 1080p resolution (1920×1080) and combines a fast 2ms response time with a high contrast ratio of 80,000:1

VGA, DVI and HDMI will be supported and the price is quite competitive at £319.99.

KitGuru says: Do you really want grubby fingerprints all over your screen? Perhaps this is made just for you!

  1. Who the hell wants fingerprints all over their screen. I dont get this for the home, for a doctors surgery perhaps, but for home? fingerprint mess everywhere. I spend more time cleaning my screen. bizarre

  2. Yeah its alien concept to me. screen=clean. fingers on it? its bad enough with an ipad, but a monitor for work? no thanks!

  3. use a pen… it’s an optic multi-touch

  4. I have one & it’s stunning. It actually takes a lot to get it dirty.
