Antec release new Kuhler H20 620 cooler

Antec have entered into the CPU cooling market with the release of a new water cooler, based around Asetek technology.

Previously Corsair had a very tight partnership with Asetek with their successful watercoolers, however they are going down a different route now. Antec therefore were more than happy to fill the void.

The new cooler is compatible with Intels slot 775, 1155, 1156 and 1366 motherboards, covering all the bases right up to the current Sandybridge products. It also supports AMD's AM2, AM2+, AM3 and AM3+ platforms and has Antec's three year limited warranty protection. The pump is rated to 50,000 hours, or around five years solid use.

The recommended price will be around £55 inc vat in the UK and around $70 in the USA.

How proficient is the cooler? Antec are claiming a reduction of 20c when compared to the stock coolers, so therefore it should be up there with the best of the air coolers, while consuming a portion of the physical space around the CPU socket.

KitGuru says: On your shortlist already? We will assume this is a really good product, especially going on previous Asetek H20 coolers.

  1. Interesting how it will perform – I see H70 pump with H50 radiator… I don’t know how good are Antec’s fans for this setup?

  2. They have changed the tubing from the basic asetek / corsair model. With rubber tubing i’d expect the coolant will evaporate much more quickly? Seems a bit risky to me when the corsair model is basically the same price and has the better tubes.
