Gears Of War 3 already 1 million sales, and its not out yet

Gears Of War has been a huge seller on the Xbox 360 console and the latest version due for release in September. Amazingly it has already achieved over 1 million preorders, hitting the mark faster than hot seller Halo: Reach.

Major Nelson, well known blog writer said “Today, Microsoft and Epic Games announced Gears of War 3 surpassed one million worldwide pre-orders, making it the fastest pre-ordered Xbox exclusive title to reach this milestone in the history of the platform.”

The Gears Of War 3 beta test ended a couple of days and in a month's testing the gamers playing chalked up 927 million kills and played through online matches which would total 249 years if they were played consecutively. Wozzers.

234,000 people unlocked the Gold Retro Lancer to use in the full game when it is released, and 435,000 people also unlocked the Thrashball Cole skin.

Sadly, Gears Of War 3 is set to be the last game in the franchise which has sold over 10 million copies to date. Marcus Fenix, the hero of the series comes back for the final installment in which he is trying to save his planet from a new Locust horde invasion. There is also a new entity to deal with, the scary looking Lambeth.

The upcoming version will also allow four people to play a cooperative mode. The game will feature a new mode called ‘Beast' mode in which players will be able to attack human players as Locust creatures.

They have announced three different versions – Epic, Limited and standard which will be priced accordingly. ($150, $80 and $60 respectively – probably £120, £60 and £40 in the UK).

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game.
