Apple COO Tim Cook is looking to the future and he is confident that it holds a lot of success for the Cupertino electronics giant. Goldman Sachs analyst Bill Shope met up with COO Tim Cook, retail SVP Ron Johnson and CFO Peter Oppenheimer.
When he asked about the upcoming iOS the Apple executive wouldn't divulge any secrets but they did talk about the tablet market in general. Cook said “I see no reason why the tablet market shouldn’t eclipse the PC market over the next several years.” Obviously when he says ‘tablets' we would assume he means iPads.
Apple are on course to sell over 8 million iPads for the June quarter which would be a 72% increase from the same time last year.
KitGuru says: Is the iPad destined to conquer the world? some would say it already has but Apple believe that sales are only just beginning.
