As with the first game, the team at Techland have been adding a whole bunch of new stuff to Dying Light 2, from small changes and refinements, to entirely new gameplay styles. Ahead of the upcoming Good Night, Good Luck update, the team have detailed the many massive changes set to arrive for free later this week.
Releasing a trailer on YouTube, the Dying Light 2 Good Night, Good Luck update is part of the game’s ‘Summer of Horrors’ and brings with it a whole bunch of movement improvements while entirely revamping the night time experience.
As part of this upcoming update nights will now be much darker “significantly reducing visibility and having the infected, like Volatiles, show up in more locations”. Additionally, the game is set to get more parkour improvements “including new animations, increased control while airborne, and the ability to maintain momentum.”
Furthermore, a new parkour style is being added, allowing players to “decide whether they want more control over their movement (Physical mode) or whether they prefer assisted gameplay.”
Finally, the update will also unlock the ability for players to create community maps – at least on PC. While the feature will be coming to consoles, no date was given as to exactly when.
All in all, this upcoming update looks to be a meaty one, once again giving players a reason to hop back into the world of Dying Light 2.
