Valve remove Dragon Age 2 from STEAM

Valve have removed Dragon Age 2 from their STEAM platform, and as yet the reasons have not been announced.

Popular online publication Escapist Magazine filed a report on the removal saying “There's no information as to why the game has been removed, although some are speculating that it might have something to do with EA's decision to sell the latest DLC from within the game, rather than separately through Steam itself.”

David DeMartini, senior vice president for Global electronics commerce at EA said in a statement “Unfortunately, Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to sell downloadable content. No other download service has adopted this practice. Consequently some of our games have been removed by Steam.”

He also added that they are trying to work out an agreement with the online game retailer.

Kitguru says: the game will not vanish for those who have already paid for it.
