The iPhone 5 is one of the most lusted after pieces of technology to be released later this year and the latest views from well respected analyst Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray claim that Apple could in fact double their market share when it is released.
His survey involved a pool of smartphone users, who were asked what their next phone would be. 64 percent of them claimed it would be an iPhone.
29 percent of the people polled said they already owned an iPhone while 28 percent said they had a Blackberry. 17 percent were Android users. Only 11 percent of the people asked said they would buy a BlackBerry next time.
In stark contrast, 94 percent of the people who already owned an iPhone were happy and would buy another. 67 percent of Blackberry owners said they would switch to another phone.
Kitguru says: While the report is interesting, it is only the views of 216 people, so it seems to be a rather small base of opinion.
