Linkedin have been under fire lately due to their system including profile photos inside social ads from third party advertisers.
The company has reacted quickly to the security concerns and have said that they do not share personal data with any advertisers. They say the only user information that is used in social advertisements is data that is already publicly available and visible to anyone in specific social networks.
To clear up concerns they have also released a series of banner ads which direct their users to documentation on the social advertising and a new updated privacy policy. They also include links to user settings which can block names and photos being used in social ads.

Linkedin have over 115 million subscribers and the change in policy is sure to ease concerns among a portion of the audience.
