Tokyo Game Show is a staple of the industry, with primarily Japanese developers taking to the event to reveal new games, offer updates on titles and more. Ahead of this year’s event (taking place in September), the full line-up of developers and publishers has now been revealed.
Tokyo Game Show is set to take place between the 21st and 24th of September and will be the biggest event in years. Matching the size of the event are the number of developers and publishers set to attend TGS. The full list is highly exhaustive and can be found HERE via a PDF, however some of the more notable attendees include:
- Bandai Namco
- Capcom
- HoYoVerse
- Koei Tecmo
- Konami
- Microsoft – Xbox
- SEGA / Atlus
- Square Enix
Kojima Productions will also be at TGS, however only in the merch area – meaning no new announcements. Sony will be present at the event to show off a bunch of indie games, but don’t expect any first-party announcements. Finally, Nintendo will be attending TGS, however their involvement is limited to the business area – so nothing the public will get to see unfortunately.
All that said, TGS 2023 looks set to be huge, and with or without Nintendo and Sony’s involvement we will hopefully get more than our fill of new game announcements.
