iPhone 4 – in white launching in spring: Schiller confirms

Many people have been waiting patiently for Apple to release the white iPhone 4. Apple executive Phil Schiller has confirmed on Twitter that the white iPhone will be coming later in spring.

Schiller, is a senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, posted to his verified Twitter account yesterday that ‘the white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!)”.

Apple are generally very secretive about their new product launches, so either Schiller has received permission, or he is just breaking protocol to his followers. Regardless, a lot of people will be very happy to hear the news. It also ties in with comments from last October which stated that the device was taking longer than planned and would be ready in Spring 2011.

Apple have had many issues releasing the iPhone 4 in white, due to inconsistency issues with the white paint used for the device, by partnering with a Japanese company to develop a new paint material.
