With Tim Cook now as acting CEO, analysts and industry experts have been pondering the possible changes within the company.
Famous co-founder Steve Wozniak has already been speaking out in interviews and has said that he would consider returning to an active role at Apple if he was offered. He also added that Apple could afford to be ‘more open' than they currently are.
Wozniak and Jobs founded Apple in 1976 and spearheaded computer development throughout the 70's and 80's. Wozniak is still on the Apple payroll, even though he stopped ‘working' for Apple in 1987.
He feels that his knowledge could bring a lot to the electronics giant “There's just an awful lot I know about Apple products and competing products that has some relevance, some meaning. They're my own feelings, though.”
He has positive feelings about Apple in 2011 adding “Unbelievable. The products, one after another, quality and hits.”
His passion for the industry is still high and he feels that if we could get into a more ‘hands on' position that he could ‘add his own touches' to the products and development.
Whether Apple CEO Tim Cook will buy into Wozniak having a more active role still remains to be seen. There should be some interesting changes over the next 24 months however and many people would like to see Wozniak spending some of his time in a product development or consultancy role.
