Jonathan Ive says Jobs would often come up with ‘dopey ideas’

The memorial for Steve Jobs was held on Sunday at the Stanford University Campus. As we reported yesterday, the memorial featured politicians and celebrities. Information on the memorial was sparse yesterday but reports are circulating about what happened.

Bono, the lead singer with U2 attended and he sung a version of Bob Dylans ‘Every Grain Of Sand'. Bob Dylan was one of Steve Jobs favourite artists. Joan Baez also performed, singing an acoustic version of ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' for the small entourage.

Jonathan Ive and Steve Jobs: not one of their better designs - but it led the way to others

Oracle leader Larry Ellison said that he was close to Jobs and that their meetings would often end up with walks into the foothills of Silicon Valley, near their homes.

Jonathan Ive, the breakthrough designer for Apple who is now the Senior Vice President for industrial design made an amusing speech saying that Jobs would often come up with a lot of ‘dopey ideas' as well as good ones.

Kitguru says: Other guests at the memorial included Bill Gates, Bill Clinton and Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
