Adata launches Legend 970 PCIe 5.0 SSD with active cooling

Adata has introduced a new SSD to its lineup, the Legend 970. Taking advantage of PCIe 5.0 technology, it offers maximum sequential read and write speeds of 10,000MB/s.

The Legend 970 sets itself apart with a double-layer aluminium alloy heatsink that incorporates a micro-fan and surface crystallisation. Together, these two features improve thermal conductivity, resulting in a 10% temperature reduction compared to fanless heatsinks and ensuring stable performance even during extended operation.

Thanks to the PCIe Gen5 x4 transmission interface, the Legend 970 is capable of read/write speeds up to 10,000 MB/s and up to 1,400,000 IOPS. However, if your system doesn't support PCIe 5.0, you can still mount the Legend 970, as it is also backwards compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 slots. The Legend 970 is equipped with an SLC cache algorithm and DRAM Cache Buffer, providing advantages in system loading and data caching.

The Legend 970 employs 232-layer 3D flash memory, enabling large capacities of up to 2TB. Various data protection and correction technologies are implemented to enhance Total Bytes Written (TBW) and durability, meeting the demands of high-load requirements. Additionally, the Legend 970 features a Low Density Parity Check Code (LDPC) error correction mechanism and AES 256-bit high-level encryption technology, ensuring accurate and secure data transmission. The Legend 970 has a 5-year global limited warranty and is compatible with the exclusive SSD Toolbox, which allows for real-time drive status monitoring.
