Twitter showcased their new headquarters yesterday in San Francisco. They have invested a lot of money in the new expansion and are also improving their microblogging service.
The new Twitter headquarters will be 215,000 square feet and is based inside a Art Deco building in downtown San Francisco. Employees will be able to enjoy a roof top garden during their breaks. The building is located in a quieter part of San Francisco but executives have spoken out, saying they hope their presence will help the area to boom.
CEO Dick Costolo has said he has plans to expand the workforce to around 3,000 people, from 700 today across the next few years.
Twitter have also redesigned their software, streamlining their interface across multiple platforms. It features a new four column layout which will roll out across all the official applications also. They are introducing this change slowly, over the next couple of weeks.
