The Android machine continues to grow and according to Andy Rubin, the platform chief, they have hit a 700,000 activations daily figure now, 200,000 more than last reported several months ago.
In July Google reported around half a million activations each day and the growth rate really is staggering, causing concerns for all the competitors. They have already passed 250 million activated devices and are on track for record figures in 2012.
Apple are facing the greatest challenge ever and analysts are confident that Apple will also see diminishing growth in the tablet sector due to the Amazon Kindle Fire and other tablets due for release in 2012.
