Final Fantasy 16 devs are exploring ideas for DLC

Final Fantasy 16 officially launched for PS5 last month, getting off to a quick start with over 3.5 million PS5 copies sold. Now, Square Enix begins work on the PC version of the game, but alongside that, the developers are also exploring ideas for DLC.

In an interview with the YouTube channel GamerBraves, Final Fantasy 16 producer, Naoki Yoshida, explained that while the team accomplished its goal of putting out a complete story with Final Fantasy 16, it has also heard feedback from fans that simply want more. With that in mind, the team is now exploring ideas for future DLCs, although nothing has been officially announced yet.

Final Fantasy 16 has proven to be somewhat controversial. While many are enjoying the new game, it has also been criticised for its lack of RPG elements compared to older Final Fantasy titles. I've played roughly halfway through the game myself at this point and while I do think that the game can be a little too cutscene-heavy at times, I've also been thoroughly enjoying the story and combat. Final Fantasy 16 plays out more like an action game and personally, that is precisely the thing that has me hooked.

Final Fantasy 16 is currently only available on PS5. A PC version is planned but won't be available until 2024 at the earliest, as Yoshida has previously confirmed.

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
