Apple’s iPhoto app, 1 million downloads in 10 days

Apple's iPhoto application has proven popular with the audience, achieving over 1 million downloads in the last ten days alone. This new iOS application was released beside the new iPad 3 a short while ago.

According to The Loop, those are genuine user downloads, not multiple downloads from the same account.

They reported “It’s quite possible that one user downloaded the app multiple times, but Apple isn’t counting those, only the unique users.”

The application is sold at $4.99/£2.99 and this means Apple has made over £3 million from this software at this point. No wonder they have amassed a $100 billion cash reserve in recent years.

Photoshop Touch was also released for iOS recently but the user feedback seems mixed, with users commenting on the limitations of the software on iOS devices.

iPhoto seems to have created a more refined set of editing tools, while allowing for filter support. Multitouch gestures are also supported. You can read more about it over here.
