Steam app for mobile devices released to the public

Following an announcement just last week from Valve announcing a closed beta of its new Steam app for iOs and Android devices, the app has now become widely available to all and sundry and has been reported to work faultlessly even on some of the oldest Android phones.

The Steam app gives gamers the ability to chat with their Steam friends, browse community groups, view user profiles, check out screenshots and user-generated content for all their favorite titles as well as staying up to date with the latest gaming news and watch out for Steam sales etc.

The app is of course a free download, in which you thereafter log into your Steam account via the app once installed on your iOs/Android device.
