Today at Mobile World Congress the mobile world's underdog Huawei announced the MediaPad 10 FHD. The tablet is still fairly early into the production process with the model on show today being handmade.
The tablet has Huawei's home-brewed chipset, the K3V2 quad-core Cortex-A9 chipset inside. This chipset is apparently “more than 49% faster than the world's fastest smartphone” chipset. This comes as quite a surprise as many were expecting a Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset to be included.
The real reason you may buy this tablet is Huawei's reputation for being cheaper while still delivering awesome offerings and the 10.1 inch Full HD 1920×1200 display. All of this is packaged in a shell just 8.8mm thick.
Most other specifications remain unknown at this stage but it is known that it will have a respectable 8 MP rear camera.
Pricing and exact availability information remains unknown but the MediaPad 10 FHD is due to be available by June.
Kitguru says: The original MediaPad was a great tablet (trust me, I reviewed the thing) so I hold high expectations of this as well.
