iPad 3 ships to some customers. UK now showing 2-3 weeks delay

Apple's iPad 3 is the hot news right now with stock said to hit retailers for official launch very shortly. Some customers are said to have received shipment notifications for preorders of the new tablet with deliver scheduled for March 16th.

Appleinsider reported that one of their readers received a shipment notification from Apple, for a preorder placed on Wednesday.

“We're happy to let you know that the items below are on their way to you,” the notification read.

Many people who have skipped an upgrade from the original iPad will be interested in the iPad 3 as it offers so much more than the second version of the tablet. New camera technology, new quad GPU processing and a super high resolution screen @ 2,048x 1,536. American preorders are going strong with stock of some models already showing a ‘no longer available' status.

The iPad 3 launch will drive revenue for Apple over Q2/Q3 and Q4 this year. In the UK, Apple appear to have allocated all of their early stock with all models of the iPad 3 now are showing a ‘dispatched in 2-3 weeks.' They really have no problems shifting launch inventory, have they?
