ASUS renames their Windows 8 tablets

At Computex earlier in the year ASUS unveiled the Tablet 810 and Tablet 600. These two devices were running Windows 8 and Windows RT respectively. Yesterday at IFA these tablets have reappeared, but have been renamed to the Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT.

Both tablets will have an option dock which we have come to expect of ASUS. The Vivo Tab runs on a x86 Intel Atom SoC, 11.6 inch, 1366×768 resolution display, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It also has a built in Wacom digitizer for stylus input and has a 8.7mm thick frame. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX76Rsh3XjM']

The Vivo Tab RT is slightly smaller with its 10.1 inch, 1366×768 resolution Super IPS+ display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset, 2 GB of RAM and a 8 MP camera. It is set to weigh 520 grams in a 8.3mm frame.

Both of ASUS' Windows tablets will retail on or shortly after Windows 8 is formally launched on October 26th. No pricing information is currently known.
