Not wanting to be left in the dark after Samsung's announcement of its own Android 4.0 upgrade plans, HTC has today revealed a full list of smartphones that will recieve the latest Android version in the coming months.
The 16 lucky phones set to recieve the upgrade are as follows:
- DROID Incredible 2 by HTC
- HTC Amaze 4G
- HTC Desire S
- HTC Desire HD
- HTC EVO 3D
- HTC EVO Design 4G
- HTC Incredible S
- HTC Sensation
- HTC Sensation XL
- HTC Sensation 4G
- HTC Sensation XE
- HTC Raider
- HTC Rezound
- HTC Rhyme
- HTC Thunderbolt
- HTC Vivid
HTC have already started to push out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Sensation and Sensation XE to select markets, and this upgrade will be expanded to more markets in the coming weeks. Sensation 4G and Sensation XL owners will then be the lucky ones to get the upgrade after this. Hopefully within the next few months the other dozen devices will follow suit, although HTC hasn't provided any specific dates just yet.
Kitguru says: Owners of HTC phones that are up to 14 months old can rest easy knowing that they will eventually get an Ice Cream Sandwich treat.
