Many of the Samsung Galaxy S III “leaked” specifications and pictures in the last week are obvious fakes but GSM Helpdesk has come across some information plus an image which at first seems a bit more legitamate then usual.
At first all seems well, until you realise it looks awfully like Samsung's own Galaxy S 4.2 Android portable internet and media device. Then the information on screen is the same as the information seen on the Galaxy S II at launch, except with a few photoshops to try and fool us. I'll let the pictures explain the rest:
So while there is the fake image there is also some reasonable specifications included. Be sure to take them with a pinch of salt as they are like full of errors but expect something similar on launch day. According to the source of the rumours the Galaxy S III will measure 131 x 64 x 8 mm and weigh 125 grams; overall slightly bigger and heavier than the Galaxy S II. Reportedly the screen will be a 4.7 inch 1280 x 720 resolution unit complete with Samsung's very own Super AMOLED Plus HD display technology.
There will be a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz combined with what is likely to be a Samsung Exynos 5 series chipset plus 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage. The Galaxy flagship will have all the usual connectivity bonuses such as Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
One last thing is a possible launch date sometime in April (previously set for May 22nd according to other rumours.) Samsung's Greater China President Kim Young-Ha has been reported to have said that the launch may be brought forward by a month from the previous May time frame. Either way expect the Galaxy S III to be announced before the heat of summer.
Kitguru says: While no one will publicly disclose specific Samsung Galaxy S III information we can always rely on “industry insiders” and “reliable sources”.
hopefully it doesnt have that ugly metal or.plastic border around it…
