Acer have listed the Iconia Tab A510 tablet on their website, for $449.99. UK buyers will have to wait a little longer however as the UK store has yet to list the product for sale.
This ‘Olympic Game Edition' has been released to celebrate the upcoming event in London, and the only noticeable marking is the Olympic ring logo on the back, in the center.
We have heard that the United Kingdom will be able to buy this shortly, probably within the space of the next 14 days, although we have no confirming pricing. You can be sure the deal won't be as competitive as America, with a best case scenario of £399.99, but possibly more.
The tablet has a 10.1 inch screen with multitouch and it is powered by a Tegra 3 quad core processor running at 1.3ghz. It is supported by 1GB of DDR2 memory with 32GB of storage, and it has a MicroSD slot to double the storage capacity. There is also a micro USB port for connection to devices. The operating system of choice, is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The tablet has Wifi, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n and there is also a dual camera system on board – 1MP front facing for chatting, and 5MP rear facing for capture.
