It seems like forever ago that Asus announced the Transformer Pad TF300 tablet back at Mobile World Congress alongside the Transformer Pad Infinity. The competitively priced tablet will be available for $379 and $399 for the 16 and 32 GB models respectively. It's good to see we don't have to pay an extra Benjamin for a flash memory upgrade.
The Tegra 3 powered tablet will be available from the 23rd of April online and in stores a week later. Those wanting a colour other than “Royal Blue” will have to wait until early June for the “Torch Red” or “Iceberg White” models to become available. Other specifications include a 10.1 inch IPS display, 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
As with the rest of the Asus Transformer series the keyboard dock accessory will be yours for an extra $149, although the dock for the new Transformer Pad is incompatible with the Transformer TF101 and Transformer Prime TF201 docks.
KitGuru says: Another impressive tablet from the engineers at Asus.
That’s more like it. A transformer pad that’s actually affordable. Especially the 32GB version. You’re not exactly gonna find a cheaper quad-core tablet with 32GB of storage anytime soon lol.
In Britain, however, it’s £400. Do the math. Rip-off Britain strikes again.
