While not formally announced at Computex, a wandering eye caught sight of two new Acer tablets, the Iconia Tab A210 and A110. These two Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablets are being pegged as updates of the Iconia Tab A200 and A100 tablets.
Starting with the A210, it will have a Tegra 3 processor, a 10.1 inch 12800 x 800 display, 1 GB of RAM and either 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage. It is missing a rear facing camera which isn't that much of a loss and there is a front facing camera. Other bonuses include a full size USB 2.0 port, MicroSD slot and a spacious 3620 mAh battery.
The lower end Iconia Tab A110 will likely be available for under $200 and boasts many of the same specifications as its bigger brother. The 10.1 inch display is replaced with a 7 inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution. A Micro USB port replaces the full sized alternative and a Micro HDMI port is added with dual-display support.
There has been no official word on availability of either tablet.
KitGuru says: May the wars of the cheap tablets commence.
