Sony reveals new batch of free games for PS+ subscribers

We're coming up towards August, which means a new set of free games are on the way for PS+ subscribers. Next month, those subscribed to the entry-level PS+ Essential tier will get three more games, including a free copy of one of our favourite PlayStation titles, Dreams.

Sony has officially announced the next batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The headliner is PGA Tour 2K23. In recent years, 2K has been developing its own golf games to directly rival the EA Sports PGA Tour games. PGA Tour 2K23 is the latest, although it will soon be replaced by PGA Tour 2K24 later this year.

Next up on the list is Dreams, which fellow KitGuru writer, Mustafa, has written about extensively. Dreams is less of a game and more of a creative toolkit, allowing users to create their own virtual creations before sharing them with the community at large. We've seen some very impressive creations in Dreams, including full on remakes of other games.

Death's Door is the final title available to PS+ Essential subscribers in August. Coming from publisher Devolver Digital, this little indie game puts players in the shoes of a reaper, tasked with tracking down a stolen soul.

All titles will be available to claim starting from the 1st of August.
