Four members of the hacking group Lulzsec were in court this week. Two of the four people charged with internet crimes and Jake Leslie Davis, 19 and Ryan Cleary, 20 were facing charges of hacking the CIA and Britain's Serious Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).
Cleary from England has pleaded guilty to six of the eight charges against him including access to Pentagon computers controlled by the U.S. Air Force. Davis, from Scotland pleaded guilty to two of the four charges against him.
They both pleaded not guilty to two charges of violating the U.K.'s Serious Crime Act by having posted ‘unlawfully obtained confidential computer data' to various websites such as PasteBin, LulzSec and the Pirate Bay. The charges against them were in supplying articles for use in fraud.
They admitted they launched denial of service attacks under the names LulzSec, Anonymous and Internet Feds. The two people targeted websites owned by Nintendo, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Arizona State Police, News International and Fox Broadcasting Company.
Two other Lulzsec members are Ryan Mark Ackroyd, 25 and an unnamed 17 year old London Student who can't be named due to being a minor. They appeared at Southwark Crown Court but pleaded not guilty to four charges against them, including participation in DDoS attacks.
The four people are dealing with charges leveled against them, for offenses which took place between February and September 2011. The reports indicate that the evidence against them is very in depth and will take 3,000 hours alone to review for Cleary alone.
Cleary is the only one not to be released on bail. He was released on conditional bail in June 2011 but attempted to contact the Lulzsec leader SABU.
