Just in case you've been wondering whether or not HTC's flagship has been abandoned entirely, it hasn't. The HTC One X, One S, as well as the American LTE version, the One XL will get the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at some stage.
Here is the full statement from HTC's Jeff Gordon:
“We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”
There is a One series device missing from that list, the lower-end One V. Our guess is that the One V will get updated as well, hopefully along with many of HTC's other devices after their three leading smartphones have been dealt with. Also missing is a estimated time of arrival, but chances are the One X and its closest siblings will get a taste of Jelly Bean in October or November.
KitGuru says: It's time to Samsung, Sony, Motorola and LG to make software update promises.
