HIS Introduces “world record breaking” Radeon HD 7970 X 3GB Graphics Card

Hightech Information System (HIS) introduces its fastest single-GPU graphics card, the HD 7970 X based on AMD's latest 7970 GHz Edition chipset.

According to HIS, the card is already a world record breaker thanks to its 3dMark Vantage and 3Dmark 11 scores of 84669 and 29937 marks, respectively, when used in a 4-way CrossFire configuration. HIS also claims that the card won the ASRock Z77 Overclocking Competition on 3D mark.com.

HIS packs the 3GB HD 7970 X card with proprietary features such as X elements, IceQ X², iTurbo, PowerTune with Boost and OC equipment.

X elements consist of the extra 18+1+1 PWM phrases, LED indicators, outputs that support  both Eyefinity 5 & Eyefinity 6.

HIS claims that the card's IceQ X² cooling solution leads to quieter and better heat-dissipation performance. The company's innovative ‘iTurbo' overclocking software allows users to control the card's temperature, speed and power.

With 3072MB of GDDR5 video memory clocked at an effective 6000MHz as well as the 1000MHz core clock, HIS could have a performance king on its hands with the HD 7970 X.
