Samsung announces the Galaxy Premier for Eastern markets

If one company is afraid of brand dilution, that company is certainly not South Korea's mobile giant. Samsung has today announced its latest smartphone with Galaxy S III inspirations, the Galaxy Premier.

The device claims to offer “lots of benefits at a reasonable price” and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It will also include many of TouchWiz's features such as S Beam, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Pop-up Play, and Best Photo.

The Premier has a 4.65 inch, 1280×720 HD resolution Super AMOLED display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor, 1 GB of memory, NFC and a 2100 mAh battery. The cameras have not been modified from the Galaxy S III; with a 8 MP rear camera and a 1.9 MP webcam.

Samsung's latest Galaxy smartphone will go on sale from November in Russia, Southeast Asia, China and South Korea. Depending on the market, both 3G and LTE models will be available.

KitGuru says: We're not sure how much cheaper the Galaxy Premier will be compared to the flagship Galaxy S III but this device could sell rather well.
