Apple claim Samsung copied icons

The battle between Apple and Samsung rages, with both companies intent on proving that the other copied their designs.

Apple are now saying that Samsung stole their icon designs.

CNET posted a series of gallery images highlighting the Apple graphic trademarks and comparing them against a series of icons used on Samsung devices. Some of them don't look really that close to the Apple versions, but you can check them all out over here at CNET.

  1. really? how many different ways can u put a symbol of a phone? or a email icon or w/e in2 a colour square??? i am only 27 but ive seen phone symbols in squares since i was a child does that mean apple stole the icon from BT??? or a phone company around b4 them???? this is a stupid argument b4 we know it apple will claim they invented the phone and every telephone using a hand hold receiver stole the design from their icon.

  2. Are you kidding me?
God have mercy on us, the world will end but not by an apocalypse foretold by any story or religion.
No we will all die by the hands of greed.
By the FU&%N STUPID fights Apple and Samsung can manage to create!!!
By twats and dumbwits that actually make a freakn living figuring out what they can sue the other part for.

Are you shitting me? icons?? ICONS?? OFF ALL THINGS! these (make your own word) bastards are gonna spend time and money on freakn icons?
WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT ICONS!?!?!
For centuries the icon for a phone has been the same freakn thing, an old phone! What should they now take a picture of the phone you have and use that as the icon for “phone/call” ?

When are they gonna sue each other for using the same color on the outside of the phone?
