An Industry source has spoken to the Korean Times claiming that Samsung will take ‘immediate legal action' against Apple.
The iPhone 5 is due to be showcased by Apple soon in an official press briefing however the news is that Samsung could put a spanner in the works. Samsung are claiming that Apple are breaching a patent which deals with long term evolution (LTE) connectivity in the next generation smartphones.
The iPhone 5 will reportedly feature the faster fourth generation wireless networking, and Samsung hold several of these patents. Samsung already warned Apple that they would sue the company if they released LTE enabled products.
With news that LTE capability will be included in the iPhone 5, Samsung have ‘decided to take immediate legal action' according to an industry source who spoke with the Korea Times.
Samsung look set to target Europe and the United States as ‘primary targets' according to the Korea times source.
