Just as Samsung starts to roll out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy S III in Poland (you can read our review for the device here,) they have also announced what devices will get the latest version of Android.

The devices that will be updated are as follows:

  • Galaxy S II
  • Galaxy Note
  • Galaxy S Advance
  • Galaxy S II LTE
  • Galaxy Chat
  • Galaxy Ace 2
  • Galaxy Beam
  • Galaxy Ace Plus
  • Galaxy Mini 2
  • Galaxy S Duos
  • Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
  • Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
  • Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
  • Galaxy Note 10.1

It is not known when these fourteen devices will be updated but one would expect these updates to commence by November.

The Android 4.1 update will include such features as Google Now, Project Butter and other various improvements. In the case of the Galaxy S III new features include a blocking mode for disabling notifications during a time period and improved pop up play functionality.

KitGuru says: An impressive device list, but we have to wait a few months to see if Samsung fulfils promises.
