Adobe security updates fix zero day bugs

Everytime I turn on my computer I seem to get another update request for Adobe Flash, as the company seem to be working hard to plug security holes for their ever popular code. February has been a busy month for the update team.

The Adobe Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) on Tuesday announced the availability of new security updates for the Flash Player. This is the third time in February that they have patched their code.

The latest security bulletin (APSB13-08) addresses three Flash vulnerabilities, two of which are currently being exploited. The two zero day bugs are being used in targeted attacks that trick the user into clicking through to a site containing malicious Flash content. The exploit is currently limited to the Firefox browser.

The company said in their blog “Today, a Security Bulletin (APSB13-08) has been posted to address security issues in Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.168 and earlier versions for Windows, Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.167 and earlier versions for Macintosh, and Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.270 and earlier versions for Linux.”
