In just a couple of days at a press event on October 23rd Apple is now expected to unveil not only the iPad mini and a 13.3 inch Retina Macbook but also an updated iPad.
The current “Retina” class iPad was unveiled in March and the most likely new feature is said to be the presence of a Lightning connector. While global LTE bands are expected to match the iPhone 5. We would peg the chipset as the next likely component to be updated.
9to5Mac reports that the new model will retain the same pricing and storage capacity options as the current models. The launch of the cheaper iPad mini will also likely result in the iPad 2 being discontinued.
KitGuru says: Don't expect this late 2012 iPad to be a complete revamp; because it won't be.
