Microsoft to patch Windows Phone 8 rebooting issue

Some early adopters of Windows Phone 8 devices such as the Nokia Lumia 920 and Windows Phone 8X by HTC have discovered that their new devices are prone to randomly rebooting, presumably due to stability issues.

The latest reports are suggesting that Microsoft believes that they have identified the issue and plan to issue an over the air update sometime in December.

There have been no suggestions as to what has been causing some users' phones to randomly reboot but WPCentral believe it could be due to memory allocation or incompatibility issues with legacy Windows Phone 7.x applications.

KitGuru says: Outside of minor problems such as this, the launch of Windows Phone 8 has been rather smooth for Microsoft.
