Hewlett Packard have announced a new tablet/hybrid which seems all the rage lately. The EliteBook Revolve is targeting the business market.
The EliteBook Revolve is a touch enabled laptop, and the display can be rotated and laid flat, turning the notebook into a tablet. It is due to launch in March 2013 with a US starting price of $499.
The machine has a 11.6 inch HD display and weighs only 3 lbs. The company are selling versions with both Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed. While Windows 8 hasn't met with a wide, warm reception from the enthusiast audience, we would recommend the latest operating system as it is designed for a touch enabled platform.
The chassis of the EliteBook Revolve is made from touch magnesium and the company have coated the panel with Gorilla Glass 2 cornering.
The machine will feature an Intel processor with a Displayport connector to hook up to an external monitor. There are also USB 3.0 ports and a 720p camera. The company also will supply SSD versions, although they will cost extra.

Kitguru says: This will go head to head against similar offerings from Sony and Dell.
