Nokia’s Windows RT tablet to include battery-equipped keyboard cover

Nokia is currently hard at work on a Windows RT tablet of its own that will likely be announced at Mobile World Congress in late February and more details have been revealed. The Verge has learned that it will have a 10.1 inch display and include, or at least be available in cellular connectivity options. AT&T will be one of the first to stock it in the United States.

A large emphasis will also be placed on a battery-equipped cover. This cover will also double as a keyboard and kickstand, as well as enveloping the tablet like a book. The cover will add two USB ports in addition to HDMI and USB slots found on the tablet. Battery life is reported at 10 hours, a number that will be boosted by the keyboard cover.

Nokia's first attempt at a tablet will of course run Windows RT on a ARM chip that is most likely to be from Qualcomm's extensive range. If succesful, the Finnish company will look at producing a Windows 8 tablet in future.

KitGuru says: If their Windows Phone devices are anything to go by, expect a Nokia Windows RT tablet to offer compelling hardware.
