Nokia has been teasing its own Windows RT based tablet as early as March when Nokia's lead designer, Marko Ahtisaari, was said to be spending up to a third of his time working on a tablet design. No results have come of this week just yet but reports are now suggesting Nokia could be planning an unveiling at Mobile World Congress in February.
Nokia originally delayed their Windows tablet plans after the announcement of the Microsoft Surface. No details are currently known about the Nokia tablet apart from unconfirmed reports from March. While it will likely be a ten inch tablet, other specifications such as the previously rumoured dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor will likely be bumped up to 2013 specifications.
The latest reports suggest that Microsoft, Qualcomm and Comapl Electronics are resuming development of a Nokia tablet that is destined to run Windows RT. The Finnish company won't have a large presence at the Consumer Electronics Show in early January so a reveal at Mobile World Congress in late February is much more likely.
KitGuru says: A Windows RT tablet from Nokia could be what the platform needs to shift its momentum up a gear or two.
