The Blackberry 10 operating system in due for release at the end of the month, alongside a new range of smartphones which Research In Motion will help reverse their steady market decline. In anticipation for the launch, more than 1,600 businesses are registered to join a training program.
The BlackBerry 10 Ready Program offers ‘information, guidance and support to businesses as they prepare their IT teams and technical environments' for the new operating system. Nick Manning, a spokesman for RIM said in an email. The LA times reported on Manning's email.
Manning said a ‘very broad range' of companies had signed on, from every sector, including Fortune 500 companies, legal firms, major retailers and government organisations. No specific companies were named however.
He said “We think the registrations are an interesting barometer of broader interest in BlackBerry 10 in the enterprise sector.”
