Payday 3 matchmaking issues solved, Starbreeze details new updates

The launch of Payday 3 did not quite go to plan, in part due to matchmaking server issues, keeping players from being able to group up and play. Starbreeze admitted the issue came via a third-party matchmaking service it was using and now the developer declares the issue as fixed.

According to Starbreeze, Payday 3's matchmaking woes are now in the past and the game is now “stable”. With the game now largely playable, the studio will begin focusing on its post-launch marketing and additional game updates.

Over the next few months, Starbreeze is planning to patch in over 200 QoL improvements for all platforms, before adding the first bits of new content and functionality in November. Sometime before the winter season is over, we'll be getting the Syntax Error DLC, the first piece from Payday 3's season pass, available to Silver and Gold Edition buyers of the game.

Payday 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. On the Xbox and PC side, the game is also available through Game Pass.
