Samsung India have launched their Galaxy Grand which features dual sim functionality. This phablet has been released just a day after Micromax announced their Canvas HD with 5 inch screen.
The Times Of India reported on the new product which has been announced at RS 25,000. The Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II are priced around RS 28,000, which means the price is very competitive indeed.
The new Galaxy Grand ships with a 5 inch WVGA TFT screen and is powered by Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean. The Grand is based around a dual core 1.2ghz processor with 1GB of ram.
The Galaxy Grand has an 8MP camera with LED flash on the rear, with a 2MP camera on the front. There is only an 8GB version, but the company are including a MicroSD slot to boost it by up to 64GB. Life should be decent thanks to the 2,100mAh battery included. The Grand has 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, S Voice and Wi-Fi support. The company are also highlighting the multi app functionality, allowing the user to access two applications at the same time.
