Chinese mobile brand Huawei has yet to truly break through into the European smartphone market but has made a clear statement to do so with the Ascend G615. The mid-high end Android smartphones packs in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with an update to Jelly Bean being made available soon after launch. The 4.5 inch 720p IPS display is powered by the HiSilicon K3V2 chipset which includes a 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor and a HiSilicon GPU. Media capture is covered by a 8 MP camera capable of 1080p video recording.
The Ascend G615 has a 2150 mAh battery and weighs 145 grams with a thickness of 10.5mm. Meanwhile there is 1 GB of memory to keep things running somewhat smoothly, 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
As is typical of Huawei's handsets, price will be a major factor in the sucess of the device, and so the Ascend G615 will retail for €300 in Germany next month.
