ARIA Gladiator Warbird 660 i5-3570K GTX660 SLI OC Review

Rating: 8.5.

Today we are looking at the new sub £1,000 gaming PC from ARIA – the Gladiator Warbird 660, which features the Core i5 3570K processor and a pair of GTX660 graphics cards. The company also incorporate 8GB of Corsair memory, a 120GB SSD/1TB HDD configuration and a Corsair HX power supply. The all important question remains to be answered however – how does it handle?

The spec list is certainly impressive, and keeping the total cost below £1,000 is quite tricky, especially when considering two GTX 660 graphics cards. ARIA don't include any operating system with the Gladiator Warbird 660, so you will need to factor in the additional costs when budgeting. The upside is that you will get to configure the operating system from the very start, exactly to your desires.

  1. very nicely priced. Do they sell them with the OS and drivers all installed? would be ideal for my dad.

Interesting to see power consumption tests too. I would have thought that system would be closer to 500w under load. Amazing how wrong I was.

  2. DIdnt even know they made systems. thats very good. I actually like the idea of not paying for another OS as ive 10 licenses of Windows 7 !

    great review

  3. The only thing id change would be the case? do they offer even a white case? Those piano black designs drive me nuts too. My last case was like that and it was a mess everytime I looked at it.

  4. @DAVIS – Yes we do. Just call the sales team who can make a note of this during test stage.

@JOE – We can swap out the case no problems. Just give our sales team a call who will be happy to help you.

Aria have increased the price by £200 to £1200 so this is no longer a bargain, in fact it is way overpriced and Aria are basically conning peeps by linking to kitguru – kitguru should remove their recommendation as the system has increased in price.
