Here’s what you’ll get in the PS4 box

Sony might have detailed what we'll likely find in the PS4 box when it's released, but we've yet to get an official confirmation through something as hard hitting as a picture; until now. Snagged from an Amazon product listing, the following picture has the whole family of cables and accessories together in one image, along with the upright standing console itself.

The full list of contents is as follows:

  • PS4 console
  • DualShock 4 controller
  • HDMI cable
  • Power cord
  • USB cord
  • Mono headset
  • Instruction manual

We talked a little bit about the headset yesterday, or more specifically, how the Xbox One won't have one. The “one” that Sony are including in the PS4 bundle is a simple, mono headphone piece with a basic mic. It probably won't be very comfortable, durable or be of great quality, but you'll at least be able to use online chat features out the box, without resorting to screaming at your Kinect.

In-ear headphone design instead of over the ear is an interesting choice

As pointed out by Dualshockers too, you might notice that the USB cable looks to be a long, two metre version, which should make it something you can actually use for extended play periods instead of just for charging the controller's battery.

KitGuru Says: Anything missing from this bundle that you guys hoped might be included? Presumably it won't take long before Sony announces some game bundles surrounding the launch window, so this will probably be the first of several PS4 options.
