ASUS is rumoured to be working on a successor to the hugely popular Nexus 7 Android tablet. Given it has been the most successful Android tablet to date it is unsurprising to hear rumours of Google and ASUS teaming up again to launch a successor later this year.
According to rumours arising from supply chain sources (which aren't always correct we might add) who have access to “engineering samples”. Claims include a 1080p display, thinner bezels and the same attractive $199 to $249 price range. Other specifications such as the processor, memory and hopefully internal storage will also be upgraded but no specifics were mentioned.
KitGuru says: Given the early nature of these rumours take them with a grain of salt. However, if there is substance to them expect the Nexus 7 successor to be unveiled at Google I/O in May.
